You heard it here first! Thanks for being on the Westside Story Club mailing list!
I’m happy to announce the speaker line-up for our first show on March 23rd, 2025.
We have nine people from many walks of life, but all with a common creative through-line — they’re writers, actors, storytellers, comedians.
My goal was to bring together talented people who will go deeper than you normally go in conversation — to learn more about someone else’s story is to learn more about your own.
Tickets are now on sale — get them while they’re hot!
Sunday, March 23rd

Hope to see you there!

The line-up for the first-ever Westside Story Club:
Alec McNayr is a writer, speaker and entrepreneur. He’s founded and led three marketing agency startups, and is the producer and host of the Westside Story Club show. He’s married with three daughters. #whew
Jessica Bauer is a storyteller, stand-up comedian, and proud Moth StorySLAM winner based in Santa Monica. When she’s not onstage, you can find Jessica either on the lookout for the most dramatic vanity plates, talking about her love of Guy Fieri, or leading Carb Loaders, a monthly eating club disguised as a run club on the westside.
Tom Burkhardt is a casting director for TV competition and game shows, with training in comedy, storytelling, and theater.
Julia Lechner is a Moth GrandSLAM winning storyteller who has shared her stories at RISK!, Rant & Rave, and Story Smash: The Storytelling Game Show.
Norman T. Leonard is a writer, doting husband, proud father, amateur zookeeper, wayward woodworker with a few too many scars, guitarist and songwriter for The Moon Wobbles, oddities enthusiast, and passionate hater of small talk.
Nthenya Ndunda is a standup comedian, actress, writer, and producer born in Kenya. Yup, nthenya from Kenya! You may have seen her on Shameless, Loosely, Exactly Nicole or in Lifetime/Hallmark Films’ The Suicide Note and Accidentally Engaged. She is a 2x JFL stand up and pitch festival winner.
Kenny Stevenson has been performing comedy in LA for 20 years. He’s had recurring roles on “Parks and Recreation”, “Comedy Bang Bang”, and "Brooklyn 99" and has appeared on shows “This is Us”, “Hawaii Five-0", & “The UCB Show”. He dedicates the show to his wife and daughter who he loves very much.
Jay Worth is an Emmy award-winning television producer and VFX supervisor with 20 years’ experience creating visual effects for shows like Alias, Fringe, Westworld, and most recently, Fallout.
Frank Traynor is originally from Argentina. He is a four-time Moth Champion and is premiering his solo show “A Real Man” this June at the Hudson Theater as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Looks like a fun show! Are you planning to make it a regular thing?
